1. What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file placed on your device when you visit a site. It lets a site recognise you from one page to the next, or measure traffic.
2. The cookies we use
- Necessary cookies: they make the site and the app work (sign-in session, language choice, security). They cannot be turned off.
- Analytics: we use PostHog to understand which pages are viewed and which features are used. The data is used only to improve the product.
- Advertising: the Meta (Facebook) pixel measures visits coming from our ads and lets us optimise them. It is only set on the marketing site, never inside the app.
- Chat: Brevo Conversations powers the chat bubble on the marketing site and keeps your conversation going from one page to the next.
- Link measurement: taap.it remembers, for one year, the link you arrived through, so we know which links and posts bring people to us.
- Payment: Stripe sets its own cookies during a payment, to secure the transaction.
We never sell browsing data.
3. Refusing or deleting cookies
You can delete cookies already set and refuse further ones at any time from your browser settings. Refusing necessary cookies prevents you from signing in to the app.
4. How long they last
Session cookies disappear when you close your browser. Others are kept for a maximum of 13 months.
