The allergens and nutrition of your products, worked out from your recipes

Accurate labels, without recounting everything

Before

  • Nutrition values copied out ingredient by ingredient
  • An allergen forgotten as soon as a recipe changes
  • Labels redone by hand after every change

With BreadUp

  • The declaration calculated from the recipe
  • All 14 allergens tracked, ingredient by ingredient
  • A label ready to print, always up to date

What you gain

Calculated, not copied out

The values come from your recipes: change a recipe, and the declaration is up to date.

No allergen forgotten

The 14 allergens and traces are tracked ingredient by ingredient. An ingredient with no data is flagged, never treated as allergen-free.

A label ready to print

The name, the nutrition values and the allergens in bold, as a PDF in your label's format.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Fill in your ingredients

Nutrition values and allergens for each ingredient, with an AI estimate when data is missing.

  2. Step 2

    Open the Nutrition tab

Each product shows its declaration per 100 g and per piece, and its allergens.

  3. Step 3

    Check and print

Correct if needed, confirm your check, download the label.

Frequently asked questions

Answers to the questions bakers ask us most often.

Another question? Write to us

Which allergens must appear on a bakery label?

The 14 allergens in Annex II of the EU food information regulation INCO (EU) No 1169/2011, including cereals containing gluten, eggs, milk, nuts and sesame. They must be emphasised, for example in bold.

Is a nutrition declaration mandatory for bakery products?

Allergen information is mandatory for all your products, packaged or not. Whether a nutrition declaration is required depends on how you sell: check your obligations with your trade association or your local food safety authority.

How does BreadUp calculate nutrition values?

By adding up the values of each ingredient according to its quantity in the recipe, related to 100 g and to the weight of the piece. You remain responsible for the label: everything can be checked and edited before printing.

What happens if an ingredient has no data?

It is flagged. An ingredient with no allergen data is never treated as allergen-free. For nutrition, an AI estimate can be suggested, and it stays marked as to check.

Does the label include the ingredient list?

Not yet. The BreadUp label carries the product name, the nutrition declaration and the allergens. The ingredient list, the net weight and the use-by date are for you to add.
