Answers to the questions bakers ask us most often.

How do I import a supplier's catalogue?

From the supplier's page or the Ingredients page, drop in a PDF, Excel or CSV file. BreadUp matches the columns, links the products to your ingredients and asks you to confirm before importing.

Can I have several suppliers for the same ingredient?

Yes. You record each supplier's price and choose the one used as the reference for your costs.

Where do the ingredients' nutritional values come from?

From the reference values in the Ciqual table, or from AI estimates that you check against the product's technical data sheet.

What happens when a supplier price changes?

Update the price or import the new catalogue: the cost of the recipes that use the ingredient is recalculated.

Is supplier optimisation included?

Price comparison is included in both plans. Margin optimisation, with the purchasing plan and the saving over the year, is part of the Plus plan.
